Preparing Students for the Future Global Workforce
Launched in 2024, the Bangkok Global Classroom Experience is an immersive overseas learning programme designed to prepare students for the future of the global workforce. Anchored on the belief that future-ready individuals require cultural intelligence, global awareness and adaptability, the programme brings learning beyond the classroom through authentic cultural, educational and industry experiences in Thailand.
Appreciating Thailand's Rich Cultural Heritage
The journey begins with a visit to the College of Dramatic Arts, where students are introduced to Thailand's rich traditions in classical performing arts. Through hands-on workshops, they experience traditional Thai music, dance and drama, learning the significance of each art form in preserving the nation's cultural heritage. Students also have the unique opportunity to wear authentic Thai performance costumes, master basic movements of traditional performances and explore the melodies of the Siamese flute. The immersive experience deepens their appreciation of Thai culture while demonstrating how the performing arts continue to connect communities across generations.

Building on this foundation, students attend a Khon Performance at the Sala Chalermkrung Royal Theatre, where they witness Thailand's renowned masked dance drama brought to life. The performance showcases the seamless integration of classical music, dance, opera and elaborate costumes, allowing students to recognise how the individual elements they had learnt earlier at the College of Dramatic Arts come together in a spectacular professional production. The experience offers a deeper understanding of Thailand's artistic excellence and cultural identity.

Broadening Global Perspectives
A key highlight of the programme is the visit to the Thai-Singapore International School (TSIS), where students interact with peers from diverse international backgrounds, including children of expatriates and globally mobile families. Through meaningful exchanges, students gain fresh perspectives on different education systems, aspirations and career pathways beyond the conventional routes after Polytechnic or ITE.
The visit features an engaging panel discussion with expatriate teachers, hosted by one of TSIS's student leaders, who shared valuable insights into international education, global competencies and the evolving demands of today's workforce. Students also participate in a lively World Café dialogue, exchanging stories, aspirations and everyday experiences with their Thai counterparts. These authentic conversations broaden students' horizons, challenge preconceived notions and encourage them to embrace opportunities in an increasingly interconnected world.

Exploring Innovation and the Digital Economy
Preparing students for the future workforce also means exposing them to emerging industries. During their visit to True Digital Park, Thailand's leading digital innovation and startup ecosystem, students explore the dynamic world of technology, entrepreneurship and artificial intelligence.
A sharing session by an entrepreneur offers valuable insights into the realities of building a successful business—from overcoming challenges and embracing failure to finding fulfilment through innovation. A guided tour of the innovation spaces introduces students to cutting-edge technologies and collaborative work environments, inspiring many to consider future careers in technology, AI and the digital economy.

Understanding Thailand Through History
Students gain a deeper appreciation of Thailand's identity through a guided visit to the Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall. Interactive exhibits trace the nation's development from the reign of King Rama I to King Rama X, providing insights into the Thai monarchy, the country's historical milestones and the evolution of Thai society. Through engaging multimedia presentations and immersive exhibitions, students develop a greater understanding of Thailand's rich heritage and the values that continue to shape the nation today.
Learning Through School Immersion
The culminating experience of the programme is a two-day school immersion at Satri Nonthaburi School, where students experience authentic school life alongside their Thai peers. They attend classroom lessons, collaborate in group activities and participate in cultural workshops that introduce traditional Thai crafts and culinary arts, including the making of Thai desserts and the intricate art of fruit carving.
The immersion concludes with a vibrant cultural concert, where students from both schools showcase performances rooted in their respective national traditions. The exchange celebrates friendship, mutual respect and cultural diversity, reinforcing the importance of intercultural communication and collaboration in today's global society.
Developing Future-Ready Global Citizens
The Bangkok Global Classroom Experience is more than an overseas educational trip—it is a transformative journey that empowers students to become globally minded, culturally aware and future-ready. Through meaningful engagement with Thai culture, international education, technological innovation and authentic school experiences, students develop the confidence, adaptability and global competencies needed to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
As the programme continues to grow from its inception in 2025, it remains committed to nurturing students who are prepared not only to succeed in the future global workforce, but also to contribute meaningfully as compassionate and culturally competent global citizens.
