Safe And Conducive Learning Environment
We are committed to providing a safe, caring and respectful environment where every student can learn and grow.
-
The school adopts a Zero Tolerance Policy as far as hurtful behaviour or bullying is concerned and these behaviours in any form are NOT acceptable.
-
We do not accept hurtful behaviour or bullying in any form and work to build a culture of kindness and understanding. Hurtful behaviours can range from once-off insensitive remarks to more persistent, intentional acts of bullying, and even physical violence.
-
When acts of hurtful behaviour or bullying occur, we are committed to addressing them in ways that help everyone involved learn, take responsibility and restore relationships whilst carefully considering the victim's well-being and addressing the underlying factors contributing to the perpetrator's harmful behaviour.
-
Students, parents, and staff may report any incidents of hurtful behaviour and bullying to the teachers, counsellors, or school leaders. All reports will be taken seriously and handled with care and confidentiality. The school will look into each case, speak to those involved, and ensure that everyone’s safety and wellbeing are supported. Parents of all students involved will be informed and updated on the process of the school’s investigation.
-
We provide support for any student affected by hurtful behaviour and bullying, including counselling, safety planning, and regular check-ins. Where appropriate, we use restorative practices such as guided conversations or mediation to help students understand the impact of their actions, make amends and mend relationships.
-
While our primary focus is on guidance and education, repeated or serious hurtful behaviour/bullying may lead to consequences such as detention, suspension, or other disciplinary actions which will be appropriate and proportionate to the situation.
